Agh! Have you heard the news about Archivers?! They are closing all their stores by mid-month in February but are promising great deals ahead for those of you who live near one or even those who shop online. Gift cards are still usable.
I've included the email content that I received from them at the end of this post so you can read it for yourself!  It is a sad day whenever people lose their jobs and I am very sorry for those families who have been affected by this news.  It seems like that is the direction the scrapbook industry is continuing to head. How is that? Sometimes I feel like my purchases alone should keep the entire industry afloat, how about you?
What was your last unnecessary purchase? Any goodie bags over the Christmas season or super sales you hit? I liked Freckled Fawns grab bags and couldn't resist, hee hee. Hmmm...also irresistible were items from Scraptastic Club and Scrapbook Circle, those gals are so nice and I love the wood veneers and flares! :) Scraptastic Club's Exclusive December 2013 Wood Veneers$15 Grab Bags
Well, let's just say that the list could go on but I want to hear from you- what was your favorite scrapbook indulgence over Christmas?
If I had to choose a favorite purchase, I just love the 2 page elf layout from Premier Scrapbooks-I can't wait to put it together featuring some fave pics from our elf  "Zippy". I'll share it when I get it started.
It was a bit of a chilly day today, a little sunny too though. These are the days that I so love my Starbucks red cup, especially filled with a nonfat vanilla latte! There is nothing better than that first drink-my friend and I joke and say it's "heaven in a cup"! What drink keeps you scrap happy in the chilly winter?
Well, I'm signing off for music rehearsal tonight-until next time,
Keep scrapping and laughing and loving life! Smiles,
Brooke

Happy new year! Well, it's January 1st and I have been struggling whether or not to make a resolution. How about you, have you made any? It seems that is such a taboo question with most people and not many people make or keep them anymore. I have decided, and almost too late since it's nearly 10:00 pm lol that I am going to jump in with both feet and with more than one resolution for the year!
First, this blog! I have been planning to start a blog for a few years now and am so excited to share happenings, scrapbooking, new techniques, cooking, crafting, ideas and life as we go along this journey together, I hope you'll come with me.
Second, exercise...ugh the dreaded one that never seems appealing haha. I am not going to commit to doing planned exercise every day however, I will commit to planning more active time every day and incorporating planned exercises weekly-who can't benefit from more activity? It just makes you feel great!
Lastly, my scrapbooking... Instead of feeling like there is another year that I am behind, I am going to come up with a plan to get a lot accomplished this year so that when I look back at this same time next year, I feel great! How is your scrapbooking coming? Do you scrapbook regular style, digital or Project Life style?
I can't wait to get started and share more with you, we are going to have an exciting year together and I hope you will feel welcome to please stop in anytime. When you come by my blog, consider yourself family or a friend! Welcome!
